چکیده

In the article, the authors analyse features of aluminium, which are important for the noncontact measurement of the temperature. This study is based on the results of experiments, which were carried out at foreign research institutes. Rising interest of the industry in contactless measurement of foamy aluminium profiles during their production was the motivation for this article.

An Improvement on Land Surface Temperature Determination by Producing Surface Emissivity Maps

Emissivity mapping of the Earth’s surface is the prerequisite to thermal remote sensing. A precise determinationof a surface's temperature is dependent upon the availability of precise emissivity data for that surface. The presentstudy area is a part of sugarcane plantation fields in the west part of Khuzestan province. In this work, TemperatureEmissivity Separation algorithm (TES) was applied ...

An Empirical Relation for the Soil Moisture Measurement Using Emissivity Values at Microwave Frequency Range

The potential of passive microwave radiometry for the soil moisture measurement is a well established one, especially in the long wave length regions due to its high penetrating capacity through vegetation. Radiometric data can be used as a mapping tool for classifying the crops, examining their health and viability and monitoring the farming practices. The radiometric data or the emission of m...

Radiometric Method for Emissivity Retrieval in High Reflective Materials

High reflective materials in the microwave region play a very important role in the realization of antenna reflectors for a broad range of applications, including radiometry. These reflectors have a characteristic emissivity which needs to be characterized accurately in order to perform a correct radiometric calibration of the instrument. Such a characterization can be performed by using open r...

Experimental Study of Sable Crack Growth in Thin Aluminium Sheet

Recent failure information from research teams in NASA Langley and others has shown that CTOA based fracture models calibrated on large C(T) and M(T) specimens can be transferred successfully to cracked aircraft fuselage structures for the assessment of their residual strength. A major difficulty that could limit the more extensive use of this failure parameter is its experimental measurement e...

Millimeter‐wave emissivity as a metric for the non‐contact diagnosis of human skin conditions

A half-space electromagnetic model of human skin over the band 30-300 GHz was constructed and used to model radiometric emissivity. The model showed that the radiometric emissivity rose from 0.4 to 0.8 over this band, with emission being localized to a layer approximately one millimeter deep in the skin. Simulations of skin with differing water contents associated with psoriasis, eczema, malign...
